Marion's Accident and Recovery!

On Monday, December 22, about 6:45am while taking out the trash cans, Marion slipped and fell on the icy driveway. He told me about this when he came in, but refused to go and be checked out. In fact, we even went to town at noon and had his glasses adjusted and did a quick stop at Wal-Mart for him. But about 4pm he requested a Tylenol for a headache, quickly followed by nausea followed by unsteadiness on his feet. By this time he agreed to go to be checked out, and it proceeded to by ambulance. At the hospital it just went down hill with the result being Er leading to rush to ICU, then Surgery when they were able to work with his this blood level a bit. Off to Surgery at 8:30 and returned by 10p, with good news that it was a small bleed and his brain looked good!!

He was extubated by noon on Tuesday and altho' his speech was slurred, he told his nurse ReAnne that he has a grandaughter Breanne. One for our team! But by Weds and Thurs he was more and more lethargic and Friday they had to re-entubate him.

It is now Weds eve and I am starting this as a way to keep our loving family and friends up to date, with 9 kids and 6 siblings I am afraid of missing important phone calls as I try to keep up with everyone. This is one way to put out the latest info daily and still call, but have the latest news availabe to all soon. Tell me what you think.
